CRISIS COMMUNICATION: MESSAGE, MESSENGER, MEDIUM

These three components of crisis communication - message, messenger, and medium - are critical, but often overlooked in our planning and training.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

After reviewing the basic principles of crisis communication, participants will develop appropriate message content based on a given scenario and identify the most appropriate messenger and medium for delivery of the message.
More than 1/2 of the training will be hands-on activities and participants will receive copies of sample messages developed during the training.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

Anyone expected to communicate with the media, employees, stakeholders or the public during a crisis.
