Responding effectively to biological threats requires law enforcement and public health officials to work closely together. Joint training in investigative methods facilitates this collaboration. The Center for Biopreparedness Education offers a course in Forensic Epidemiology - the conducting of epidemiological investigations; public health responses in the setting of a crime scene; and methods of coordinating criminal investigation procedures with epidemiological, laboratory and other legal procedures.
