INFECTION CONTROL IN THE WORKPLACE

The Infection Control in the Workplace course teaches simple measures that control the spread of infectious diseases in the workplace, how the physical work space impacts the spread of infectious diseases like flu, and best practices for dealing with sick employees (for example when they can return to work).

Developed in collaboration with Dr. Philip Smith, President and founder of the Nebraska Infection Control Network, this course can help organizations reduce sick time and lost productivity due to infection transmission in the workplace, build morale through a safer workplace and reduce the impact of public health emergencies like pandemic influenza. Dr. Smith is also a member of the CDC's Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee.
